VeGue VM50 Microphone blog

Hello, welcome back to another blog by your favorite content creators, Twins Reviews! Today we are going to be talking about the VeGue VM50 microphone. Is it good for the price you are paying?

Before we jump into the blog we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been watching our YouTube videos! We recently hit over 100,000 video views and this is a huge achievement for us. If you had no idea that we even make content on YouTube, well you can check it out at Twins Reviews! Anyways let’s jump into the review!

VeGue VM50 build

To start this off I want to talk about the VeGue VM50s build. I actually quite like the metal build that it has. The microphone itself is not too big, so it will not take up a lot of space on your desk. It also comes with a metal pop filter. I am not a huge fan of metal pop filters but this one seems to do the job well. The solid build of the microphone is something that is important for me as I do not like flimsy microphones. It is also nice that this is metal and not plastic, I have found that when plastic is used in the build of microphones then the whole mic becomes less sturdy.

VeGue VM50 features

Now let’s jump into talking about some of the features of the VeGue VM50. the VeGue VM50 has all the standard features that a microphone would have. It has the gain knob at the front. To mute the microphone you need to click on the gain knob. There is one thing that I do not like about the mute button and that is the fact that you can hear the microphone being muted when you are in a call. This is something that we always mention whenever we review any sort of microphone. With the VeGue VM50 the people in your call will be able to hear when you mute/unmute.

Sound quality

We tested the sound quality in a discord call, as well as through a voice recorder. To me, it sounded like it was more clear during the voice recorder session. Personally I think that the sound is good, albeit a tad bit inferior to the Fifine K658. You do have to consider that the VeGue VM50 goes for less then the Fifine. As of this moment you can purchase the VeGue VM50 for around 60 USD + some discount if there is a coupon available on amazon.

USB-C

The VeGue VM50 also uses a USB-C to USB A/C cable which makes it easier to work with most devices and systems, such as Mac, PS4, PS5, Windows PC, laptop, etc. It is also Ideal for gaming, recording, live-streaming, YouTube video, podcasting and so on.

Conclusion

Overall this is a pretty good microphone that you can pick up for a cheap price. Obviously you will not be getting any podcast level sound quality, but for what it’s worth, this is clearly a good microphone. I would say it is a step up from the VeGue VM30.
