Blue Yeti microphone. Is the Blue Yeti still worth the purchase? Continue
reading to find out. There are some key feature that we need to talk about first and those are the buttons, knobs and plugs.
What does it include?
- No additional software required (just plug the mic into the USB port in
your computer. The plug is included with the microphone. - Includes big plug for studio set up
- Headphones plug-in to listen to what you are recording or your PC volume
- Volume control knob on the front of the microphone.
- Mute button which is lit red when the microphone is on, or plugged in,
and blinks red when you press it, (which means the microphone is on
mute). - Gain knob on the back
- The other knob besides it controls what mode you want to set up your
microphone as. The modes included are: Cardioid mode,

PROS
- Very great sound quality for a great price! Great for recording
anything/streaming and gaming. - Great for a studio set up, and home set up.
- You’re getting a lot for the price of 120$. Not only the great sound
quality, but also the different buttons that go along with it
CONS
- Its quite hefty and not very good for traveling
- Some people might not be able to afford a 120$ microphone.
I left some alternative options below. Keep in mind these mics might not be on the same level as the blue yeti, however they are still very good quality for their price.
So overall the blue Yeti microphone is still a very good microphone and I
would use this in 2019. It is very affordable and very good quality. One of
the best microphones out there.
