In the box:

The newly released Fifine K690 microphone is an upgrade of the k678. First thing to notice, the new K690 is slightly bigger than the K678, however, it has more features and improved sound quality!

Features

Front of Fifine K690 has a standard mute button and headphones volume knob . Back side of the microphone presents a mic gain level knob and newly added pickup patters selection knob;

  • Cardioid – Picks up sounds from the front of the microphone
  • Omnidirectional picks up sounds from all around.
  • Bidirectional/The figure eight is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very high rejection for sound coming from the sides.
  • Stereo (two or more mono signals) the dual capsules of stereo mics output 2 individual mic signals that can then be panned left and right in a stereo mix. Also has a mount for a boom mic and can come off the stand

Improved sound quality, thanks to tri-capsule array (a microphone array is any number of microphones operating in tandem ) (3 condenser capsules). Great for recording any sound, in combination with 4 pickup patterns, it’s also great for vocals, musical instruments, podcasting, voiceovers, interviews and of course conference calls and much more! A lot of versatility when it comes to the k690 for only 100$.

For only a 100$ the Fifine k690 is fantastic! It records in 16 bit 48kHz. For those who don’t find these terms familiar, we got you covered. 16 bit is a measure of the “bit depth” of a digital audio signal. The bit depth is simply the count of “bits” (binary digits) that are used to represent each sample of music and it directly corresponds to the resolution of each sample. 48 kHz is 48,000 samples per second, this literally represents how fast samples are taken. The higher the sample rate, the higher frequencies a system can record. For instance, professionals usually work with 44.1 kHz.

Quality

We’re always impressed with Fifine products quality, especially considering the price. They keep exceeding our expectations. The build quality of the new Fifine K690 microphone is excellent with its heavy-duty design! You’re really getting the premium feel with used materials and also great esthetic appearance!
