OnePlus Nord Blog

With the recent one plus phones coming out, people have been wondering if OnePlus has abandoned the idea of: “Great phones for a cheap price”. However, the OnePlus Nord might be a beacon of hope for people who think that this might be the case. This new phone has pretty much everything you could ask for, for around 400-500$.

To sum up the history of OnePlus, this meme can be used.

Obviously OnePlus has claimed in the past that they would stick to the idea of selling great phones for a cheap price. That was not the case with some of their previous phones so people were wondering if they abandoned that idea. However, with the OnePlus Nord, it seems like this is coming back.

Lets start with some specs…

To start us off, I would like to mention that the one plus carry’s 4 cameras. Specifically, 4 rear and 2 front cameras. This might seem a bit excessive at first, but this is great news if you love taking photos. As stated on their website: “Nord comes with the same 48 MP primary sensor as the OnePlus 8, complete with optical image stabilization (OIS) to eliminate blur and shakiness from every photo.” The OnePlus Nord is also able to remove
noise from photos for them to come out as better quality. It also has Nights cape, which allows you to take clear photos at night.

The selfie mode also looks like another great feature for the OnePlus Nord. The specs, are as follows: 8MP 105 degree ultra wide angle with a 32MP Sony IMX616. It also looks like the selfie camera comes with an ultra wide angle. As mentioned before, the camera is 32 MP and is said to take clearer photos. To be honest though, I did not see a huge difference when they compared it to something else. Another Great feature that the Nord has is that it is able to record in 4k at 60 FPS. Obviously this takes a lot of space on the card so I doubt you will take too many videos with this mode.

Screen and charging

The OnePlus Nord also has a 90 Hz screen display, probably one of the smoothest you can get. This is something that is important because it makes it feel like there is delay or lag on the phone when using it. The OnePlus Nord comes with the Warp charging method as well. Personally I have experience with this charging method and can confidently say that it is the best charging method I have ever used. In just 30-40 minutes your phone will be fully charged, its great.

To sum it all up…

In conclusion, with all of these things in mind it is great that OnePlus is returning to their roots and selling this phone for an affordable price. I can already tell that this is something people will like.
